Jacquelyn Flynt is an attorney and mediator at Duggan & Associates, PLLC. Prior to joining Duggan & Associates, PLLC, Jacquelyn was the Executive Director of Dispute Resolution Services of North Texas, Inc. In her role as Executive Director, she directed and managed the organization’s staff of five dedicated employees and over 200 highly committed professional volunteer mediators, all under the guidance of the DRS North Texas Board of Directors. She worked to promote and expand the practice of mediation in general, through public speaking and community education as part of an expansive public education campaign initiated in 2015.
During the two years prior to joining DRS, Jacquelyn owned and operated Flynt Law Firm, PC and became a volunteer mediator. During this time, she also served as an adjunct faculty member at her alma mater formerly known as the Texas Wesleyan University School of Law. Jacquelyn drew upon her years of experience as a Staff Attorney with Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas, Inc. to teach students about the various legal matters frequently encountered in the practice of Poverty Law.
Ms. Flynt obtained her Juris Doctor degree from Texas Wesleyan Law in 2002. She graduated summa cum laude from Texas Wesleyan University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
Jacquelyn is licensed to practice law in Texas, as well as in the Northern District of Texas. Her specialty training, work experience, and coursework have all contributed to her excellence in the legal field and as a dedicated, passionate advocate for her clients. Jacquelyn has completed Basic and Family Mediation Training and she has also obtained the certificates and experience required of Parenting Coordinators as well as Parenting Facilitators in the State of Texas.
Among her current and past professional memberships are: the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Texas; the Tarrant County Family Law Bar Association; the Tarrant County Bar Association; the Texas Dispute Resolution Center Directors’ Council; the Texas Association of Mediators, and the Poverty Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. Jacquelyn is also a past member of the Tarrant County Council on Family Violence where, during a portion of her membership, she served as the Co-chair of the Public Awareness Committee. Jacquelyn also serves the community as a current member of the Tarrant County Human Services Advisory Committee.
Jacquelyn was born, raised and currently resides in Arlington, Texas. Her hobbies include singing in her church choir, kayak fishing, fossil hunting/collecting, geocaching, and spending time with her family and friends.
